Hi, I'm Mr Mac.

I've been a teacher for over a decade and have spent that whole time figuring out how to get children genuinely excited about learning. The answer, more often than not, has been: take them outside.

Mr Mac's Muddy Adventures grew out of years of running outdoor sessions at school and watching children come alive in a way they rarely do at a desk. Den building, capture the flag, fires, friendships made through teamwork — it's the stuff I loved doing as a child, and the stuff I love seeing children do today.

When I'm not in the woods, I write fantasy novels under the name JP MacDougall. I live in East Sussex with my family.

All sessions are run by me personally. I'm first-aid trained, fully safeguarded, and DBS-checked. I can't promise your child won't come home muddy. I can promise they'll come home with stories.

Ready to get muddy? Adventure days run during school holidays, 10am–3pm, £50 per child. Spaces are limited.
